Happy Wednesday! Today we’re talking about skin care! I feel like right after I turned 30 (a couple of years ago) all my girlfriends and I ever talk about is face products. Probably because we regret not listening to our mothers when they told us to wear sunscreen and wash our face before we went to bed. Honestly, my skin was better when I was a teenager, than it is lately. I’m constantly having to switch up my routine. Mainly because my face gets used to something pretty quick and doesn’t work like I need it to after about 3 months. I have extremely oily (acne prone) skin, so what works for me, might not work for you. Here’s a quick run down of my routine, morning & night!
- Murad Clarifying Cleanser 2. Murad Clarifying Toner 3. Tula Eye Cream 4. Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream 5. ZO Skin Sunscreen + Primer 6. ZO Skin Sunscreen
In the mornings I’ll wash my face, apply the toner with a cotton ball, then apply cream and moisturizer. Now lets talk about step FIVE! This primer is amazing! It literally makes your skin feel so soft. Not to mention it makes your makeup look flawless. It’s my holy grail! If you take anything from this post, let it be this primer!
If I’m not putting on makeup, I skip step five and go to six. Not only does this sunscreen smell amazing, it gives you a light tint of color. If I could afford it, I would buy everything from the ZO Skin Health line. I’ve never used anything that I didn’t love!
- ZO Skin Exfoliating Cleanser 2. Murad Skin Smoothing Polish 3. Murad Clarifying Toner
- 4. ZO Skin Sulfur Masque 5.Tula Eye Cream 6. Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream
My routine at night is a little different from my morning. I’ll wash my face with a different cleanser (Zo Skin exfoliating cleanser) while using a clarisonic, two-three times a week. With step two, this is also something that I only use one-two times a week. Like above, I’ll apply the toner with a cotton ball. If I’m having a bad breakout, step 4 is a life saver! This masque is AMAZING! Your breakouts will disappear within days. Can I get an Amen? After all of that, I’ll apply the eye & night cream.
I know it sounds like a lot and the total of it all might make you want to pass out, but just like everything, I buy it when it’s on sale. Ulta carries Murad and they’re always sending out 20% off coupons via email, each month. Their rewards program also helps out, too! So make sure you sign up for their emails!
My sweet friend Alisha at Bellisima in Chattanooga, carries all the ZO Skin Health products. She runs specials on skin care products as well as other services, so be sure to check her out if you’re in the area. My latest obsession is the Co2 facial. It helps my breakouts while keeping my face hydrated.
Tula also offers good discounts. Again, make sure to sign up for emails. Their Day & Night cream is the first moisturizer that I’ve been able to use that doesn’t cause more breakouts. Having oily skin, its hard to find a moisturizer that works.
I’m always looking for new skin care products, so be sure to let me know what works for you! It will be a while before I run out of products, but I’m always up to try something new! Since we’re already in November, I’m starting to put together a Black Friday Wish List for you guys! Black Friday is the best time of the year to get some amazing deals, so start saving your money!!!
