The Nordstrom Sale is here and I’m going to give you a quick run down on the items that I think are worth it. Before we get started, I wanted to remind you guys that this sale can be a little bit overwhelming, so I would go in with a plan and stick to it.
Early Access starts today and goes through the 18th. If you’re not familiar with Early Access, you’ll need a Nordstrom credit card to shop during this time. That being said, I’m anti credit cards so the only reason I’m able to shop the sale for early access is because I got the debit card years ago, so I’m grandfathered in. For some reason they don’t offer the debit card anymore, or I would suggest you get that.
Public Access goes live on the 19th and will last through Aug 4th. If you can’t shop until the sale goes live to the public, don’t stress. It’s still 100 degrees outside, so remind yourself that you’re not really missing out. If something you want happens to sell out, there’s always another sale that comes along.
My plan isn’t to link the entire sale, instead I’ll like a handful of items I like or own, from each category.
Let’s get this party started!
Everyday Shoes
Normally I buy a new pair of adidas when this sale rolls around, but this year I think I’m going to pass since I really don’t need them. If I was buying any, it would be these because they’re so comfy. These run big, so size down one whole size!
I’m a sucker for Tory Burch, and these sandals are adorable. My first instinct was to buy them, but I just bought a new pair of millers this year, so I don’t really “need” them. All my ladies that can wear sandals with backs to work, these would be great for you!
Ugg slippers are my JAM! I’m ordering these this year, and maybe a couple for some Christmas presents. Just make sure you go up a half size with these. They run small.
I own both the slip on shoes + the converse and they’re both my go to’s when it comes to casual outfits.
Booties + Boots
Everyone needs a good fall bootie. I’ve already seen these on so many girls, and they go great with so many outfits. I still have a ton of booties from last year, so I’m skipping these for now.
Tall boots are a staple item in my fall wardrobe and while these are a bit of a splurge, both are great boots.
If you watched my stories on Instagram yesterday, you know that I bought similar boots like these in last years sale.. and I’ve yet to wear them. So this year I’m going to make it a point to incorporate them in to some outfits.
Jeans
This is where I normally do damage. AG jeans are typically what I go for, but I only stick to spending this kind of money on ones that I don’t have to get altered. I’m 5’2 so I try to only get jeans with a 27-28 inch inseam.
I linked plenty pairs in all different price ranges because everyone needs a good pair of jeans.
Skirts + Dresses
There wasn’t much to choose from in this category, but I’ll order both skirts. I love the dress, but I’ve already seen it on so many people, so I’ll probably skip on it.
Jackets
So many cute jackets, in a ton of different price ranges. I think the North Face ones are good deals if you like this brand. I also think the longer style is very flattering if you have a short frame.
Sweaters + Cardigans
I wont buy any sweaters, only because it will be a good 3-4 months before I could even think about wearing them.
I do own the Barefoot Dream Cardigan and it’s a must if you live somewhere where it gets really cold. If you live somewhere where it doesn’t get too cold, I think I would pass and spend my money somewhere else.
Tops
I’m not going to lie, I was a little disappointed with most of the tops. Here are some that are cute, but I think I would pass on most of them.
activewear
Zella is my favorite activewear. I own so many of the black leggings and I loved this pink and green set. I normally size up to a medium in their bottoms for comfort.
Spanx
This price on the leather leggings is great. I got my first pair last year and I love them.
I also size up into a medium for these!
Handbags
I love a good Tory Burch handbag.. and these are ok.. but I honestly think they have better ones out right now, or will come out with something a little less plain for Black Friday.
Beauty
The beauty department nailed it this year. I own or have used almost everything I linked.. and they’re all at pretty good price points.
Accessories
If you need a good watch, the Tory Burch ones are great. If I didn’t have my Kate Spade one, I would jump on this deal.
I also love the Michelle one. So cute + different.
Blankets
A Barefoot Dream blanket was on my list this year, but it looks like they might have sold out of the one I wanted. If you didn’t want to splurge on one, I linked some cheaper options that I own and are good throw blankets.
That concludes my picks for this years Nordstrom Sale. I know it was a lot of stuff thrown at you but remember it’s just a sale and to have fun with it. Only buy what you think you will wear or need, and just keep it simple.
I’ll update this later and show you guys what I buy when the sale goes live.
xoxo- Lauren
