There’s no sugarcoating it, my life is a hot-mess 90% of the time, so when it comes to organization, I need simple! I also need affordable, but we’ll touch base on that in a minute. Today, I’m going to let you in on a life changing hack for your fridge, without breaking the bank + making you feel like you’re winning at life!
That last comment might have been a little exaggerated, but you’ll def earn some brownie points with the hubs!
If you’re anything like me, you do things on a whim and go big or go home when it comes to any task.
I’m always in it to win it!
Last week, I opened my fridge and saw how out of control it was. I decided right then and there that it needed some structure. If you don’t believe me, here’s a before picture!

I did some research + set a budget, and got to it!
First, I looked at everything in our fridge and decided what was “weekly treats” and what was everyday must have items. I then decided what items I wanted to have their own place. Riley’s snacks, my Dad + John’s yogurts, meal prep stuff for up coming dinners, fruits + veggies washed and ready to eat….etc.
I checked prices everywhere. The Container Store, Walmart, Target and Amazon, you name it. I knew I wanted something heavy duty, but refused to spend hundreds of dollars. My family is hard on just about everything, so I knew I needed something below expensive, but above cheap… and luckily I found my medium on Amazon.
I spent $65.
Which my goal was to keep it under $50… but “splurging” on the acrylic bins + a set of glass Tupperware, was well worth it.
We go through a ton of eggs, so I knew I needed the biggest egg holder. I got so happy when I found this one for under $10!
I also got really excited when I found these long skinny trays so I could put all of Riley’s snacks (and some of mine) in! These are perfect for yogurts, mini guacamole, juice boxes… basically anything small!
We eat a a HUGE variety of cheese, so I knew I needed a huge bin to store all of it! These also work good for meats. If there’s anything I despise more, its taking everything off a self and cleaning it because juice from raw chicken got everywhere! Now I wont have that problem, and can just take out the bin and wash it! #win
Glass storage was high on my list, so I found this affordable (under $20) set for all of my fruits + veggies. These are perfect for prepping and keeping the produce fresh, so the family can just grab and go as they please.
Last, but not least are these two trays. I used one for yogurt and one for our butter, salsas and items I cook with on a regular basis.
As far as the veggie + fruit drawers, I kept them simple and just left the whole veggies alone and washed + cut my some strawberries and blueberries and put them in the glass containers.
Our fridge is a professional fridge… aka… flush with our cabinets, so we lost a lot of space inside it compared to our old one. Space is always limited, so I have to get creative with things.
Real life: “Basically I store all the crap I don’t use on the daily, outside in the garage, in my old fridge.”
So there you have it, 101 on fridge organization! Like I said, you can most certainly go cheaper, but if you want dependable, these are amazing! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I can’t wait to show y’all some game day outfits ideas next week! Make sure you stop back by + keep up with me on Instagram!
